Planning & Building Department Services:

The role of the Stone County Planning & Building Department includes:

  • Permitting and inspection of structures as required by the 2003 International Building and Residential Codes
  • E-911 Addressing and establishment of new road names
  • Coordinate the review of all Commercial Site Plans and Subdivisions for approval by the Stone County Board of Supervisors
  • Enforce the requirements of the Stone County Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance
